These people are ignorant thugs. The Democratic party has been reduced to a bunch of Bush hating mean spirited people that treat Bush supporters like the enemy. I know it sounds extreme, but some of these folks I think will go postal when President Bush is re-elected.
I think the little boy is her big brother and he looks like he's wishing he could take the creeps on all by himself.
First they tear up her sign. Then they steal her bunny slippers. They they poison her new puppy. Then they take her baby duck and sell it to KFC under the guise of a mutant chicken. Is there nothing these neofascists won't do?
Why? This is America, you know that. The statement you made, quite frankly, infuriates me. You seem to forget the first ammendment to the Constitution, the right to assemble, and those inalienable rights codified by the founding fathers, backed by the shedding of blood that guarantees a small child and her father should be immune from such callous treatment.
I am sick of limp wristed people giving passes to those that exhibit behavior in the political process, namely the democrat opposition, that is beyond the pale.
This picture is the real time graphic that exposes those with motives that are deep, wide, and are part of the continuing struggle of freedom versus a society ruled by those with little regard for morality, national sovereignty or freedom.
Feel free to flame on.
I sent to Bush / Cheney campaign + RNC
Union goons who made sure first that large Freepers like me, Registered or michigander weren't around. Candy *sses.
We had some lard-*ass union goons try to start something with us in Grand Rapids at a Gore rally back in '00, but they didn't like the looks of the competition.
Guess they're like Islamofascists - they like to pick on little kids and women.
Someone should ask Edwards if he condones this behavior.
You're probably right. Now that I took a goooooood look at the boy he even has good resemblance to the Dad carrying her daughter. Fairy "Carrie" supporters are such "girlie men".
This wasn't a real event. Edwards was there ONLY to get on his plane. The campaign said if he had a few minutes to spare he might stop and shake some hands, so people were welcome to go to the airport and take their chances.
Is that the face of an angel or what?
"My question: What was the father thinking? He's taking a 3 year old child to an opposing party campaign event? I find that completely irresponsible."
On one hand I agree. On the other, I think it's pathetic that you CAN'T take your children to things of this nature. Some venues are just not meant for children, period, but some things- such as outdoor rallies and public events- should be open for children at times. The fact that the Kerry supporters are so insecure in their position that they have to torment children really gets me fired up.

When I was about that age, we lived in St. Louis. My dad took me to a parade (it was during WWII) and I had to go to the bathroom. When I did, I suspect my dad looked the same way.
