Because this man grew up in a country where we could argue civilly over politics. I remember heartfelt but good-natured banter with fellow 5th graders whose families supported Nixon in 1960. Of course I recited the talking points for Jack Kennedy that I had learned from my family. That was long ago in a universe far-away, before Dealey Plaza, and Memphis, and Chicago '68, and before the Democratic Party was hijacked by hard-core Marxists.

I agree --- this photo shows them for what they really are, low life thugs! Someone with the contact data needs to send this to Fox News, Rush, Sean Hannity, and anybody else likely to give it the publicity it deserves! I've emailed the thread to several friends of mine.

Sounds to me like he meant now the kids who have been fed BS about Bush will finally see the Rats true colors. That's what he meant by "good."

Okay, I see. I was not sure I was reading it correctly. I thought he/she was proclaiming that as true. If the above interpertation is what was meant I apologize, let me change my comment to welcome to Free Republic. And jgophel, please excuse me for jumping to conclusions.

I agree, I guess there should be a disclaimer on all skerry rallies. No children welcome, especially Republican kids.

Damn; I used to live in Huntington, WVa, back in the early 50s, with my Mom, Dad and Sister: 1822 Wilshire Blvd. Sure wish I'd been there with *Mr Kimber* when the liberal-demokkkRAT filth committed the felony.

SSS.

Bingo! This does anger me, but there is no way in hell I'd take my small child to a democrat rally and have her hold up a Bush sign. No, this shouldn't happen, but democrats being what they are, this was just plain idiotic. I don't advise anyone to take children to political rallies.

We were out protesting Clinton and as a car drove by, the driver threw a full can of coke that hit one of our female attendees.

When it comes to public demonstrations, it's best to leave it to the adults. Of course that's if you're not surrounded almost exclusively by your own side.

The IUPAT Goon for Kerry/edwards needs to be IDENTIFIED and NAMED! The punk WAS picking on someone his own BRAIN size! Union thugs are some of the DUMBEST people on earth!

I have NEVER seen a Democrat rally where MOST of the people have Union T-shirts on!! What gives? Who pays for all those shirts?

Why would he think his daughter would be in danger at an airport? He knows he wouldn't hurt anyone of the opposition. Maybe he was just a mite naive, but he has the RIGHT to take his daughter there & expect her to be okay.

I'm all against abortion 100%.

But after looking at things my conclusion is the liberals have aborted themselves out of power for at least another 20 years.

Conservatives tend not to abort, libs live by it. Thus the strong shift in attitude in young people today towards conservatism.

Sad really.

*Send it to DU and let's see how they spin it*

Good idea, but I think I already know. If the DUmmies stay true to form (and they're intellectual lemmings, so I'd take that bet), they'll spin up ten thousand reasons why it was absolutely the proper and correct thing to do; they'll make fun of the little girls clothes, hair, and her crying, as well as her father's attire; they'll praise the Union/Kerry supporter thug for protecting the "sanctity" of the Dimocrat event, and blame the father for showing up in the first place.
Sadly, on that last point, some FReepers are doing their work for them right here on FR (see thread above).

I figured it was maybe the brother and he was ready to punch the one who tore up the sign.
