CITY TEAM CAPTAIN REQUIREMENTS AND
CITY TEAM CAPTAIN SIGNUP ROSTER
The following are the requirements that a City Team Captain must fulfill. Fulfilling these requirements is critical to the success of the Veterans Caravan For Senator John Kerry. Your position is vital and we definitely appreciate your involvement. The key to success is communication.
- Via email keep these following members continually notified of what actions you are taking in behalf of the caravan and when needed , ask for prior permission before taking any actions:

Do not make any commitments on behalf of the Veterans Caravan until you receive written permission via email from either Rick Bolanos, Larry Romo or Jim Cumming.
- You are the host for the time we come to your city/town to the point we leave your city/town. It is imperative that we keep to our timeline so your plan for us must keep to the times listed in the schedule. There is no room for flexibility unless there is an extreme emergency beyond human control.
<> Find us a hotel that will house 53 people. Our maximum cost we can spend is $80 per room which would include any city occupancy and state sales tax. We need two separate beds in each room for two vets. To simplify matters get the rooms to be all non-smoking. Any smokers can smoke outside. Do not make a final commitment to any rooms until either Rick Bolanos, Larry Romo or Jim Cumming give the final say in writing to you via email. Please send Rick, Larry and Jim your hotel recommendation with prices, etc., via email by 1 Sep
- Find us a perferably indoor venue (example: vet hall) to have the veterans rally at. We are concerned with an outdoor venue about the weather. Coordinate with the venue manager all necessary requirements such as a stage, microphone, and chairs for the veterans. You are responsible to set up the entire program within the time specified on our schedule. If possible, try to set up an inexpensive meal after rally for us (donated preferred). For the selected venue, we hope you can solicit local Democrats for donations to cover the expenses or get the venue donated. Your are responsible to advertise the event to draw local and regional veterans to the rally. You may have a copy of our list to search nearby zip codes, locations, etc. We need a lot of vets and also non-veteran TDV members, and others, to show up. Please send Rick, Larry and Jim your tentative venue program by 14 Sep 04, including rally location time, etc., in conformance with our bus itinerary that we have provided you.
- Please give Larry Romo via email the addresses of the finalized hotel and venue by 16 Sep 04. He will produce a master list of maps for the bus driver and others needing the maps.
- Larry Romo will continually update the schedule with the locations of the hotels and venues as they are finalized.
