I saw the pictures at the Pensacola News Journal. The scope of the devastation from Ivan is incredible. Baldwin county in Alabama has to look equally devastated.

I hope the area can recover. We've been down there a number of times and planned on moving down there either this year or next year and live on our boat.

Yes I did look at the photos. It's terrible, and I'm not trying to diminish them, but there is damage all over the state from storms this summer.

In fact, there is damage all over the COUNTRY from these storms. As we type, the Susquehanna River is about to overflow in parts in PA.

Did you look at photos from Hutchinson Island in St. Lucie County from Frances? Or from Punta Gorda from Charley? I feel for you, but you're not alone here.

Like I said, we need STATEWIDE DADE COUNTY BUILDING CODES. Either that, or people should be on their own as far as insuring their property - in other words, pay cash and don't insure (like Rush did on Palm Beach).
