Maryland!!! Are you freakin' kidding me? Maryland a "battleground state"? Is there any state that's NOT a battleground state now, except for Rhode Island and Vermont? I would like to see a Massachussetts poll, by the way. I bet Bush is closer there than you think! If they elect Mitt Romney as governor, why not Bush over a guy they hate?

I have been a Marylander for 41 years. This State has been a high tax, very Democratic bastion almost all that time. The Democrats owned Baltimore and that was enough to give them an election edge.. Republicans candidates were obscure nobodies , sacrificial lambs never close to winning.
We did elect a good guy Republican as Governor. But I thought that was a fluke, he got in because his Democratic predecessor was such a thief and con artist
If Maryand goes Republican I will celebrate for a week.
