We're talking about American lives that are being lost in an attempt to bring democracy to Iraq,” Shays said. If France, Russia, China and Germany had told Saddam it was time to back down and honor his commitments, Shays said it’s possible the United States may not have needed to go to war against Saddam.

If France, Russia, China and Germany had told Saddam it was time to back down and honor his commitments, Shays said it’s possible the United States may not have needed to go to war against Saddam. That is, in fact, the truth of it. Clinton gave China our US Coal. Which also meant, China would have to at some brawl with the Kyoto Treaty (after exemptions). Germany and France both were using the "barrels" as a lure for their EU "talks" with other countries. Additionally, Russia and France were conducting first joint space programs. France was most recently on record trying to sell some pretty heavy duty arsenal to China. It got nixed.

What's my point? Sure, I could understand how socialist/communist countries would REQUIRE cheap oil in order to pay for their "for the people" programs. Sure, I understand it. But in the process, they aided and abetted and stand guilty of abusing a world treaty in re Saddam and the Oil 4 Food Program. In so scamming the "system", the above countries (including Belgium) took advantage of thousands upon thousands of people in Iraq under Saddam Hussein dying from hunger, torture and abuse. Theft is theft. What the above countries did was wrong. They were greedy. And, worst of all was the UN -- who had to know this was going on, given they were doing plenty of brokering between the countries. The UN was annointed "watch-dog". Instead, they accepted graft, briberty, payoffs to fuel the slaughter and abuse of innocents.

Russia and the US had seemed to come to terms not too long ago (Germany and France are still in repugant dead toad mode); even moreso-fueled now by events in Beslan.

Are France and Germany therefore, the master appeasers? The aidors and abettors Central? Germany has been sucking France's toes for many years; basically giving up any shot at independence and Sovereignty.

Point is, when John Kerry tells you he's gonna provide Universal healthcare, and it's only going to cost a pittance.. He's either in parallel representing the UN or one of these countries, IMHO. Perhaps, through some shrapnel ricochet years ago bouncing him hard on the head; math is still too difficult for him?
