but tickts were required from the Kerry campaign and yesterday when it was announced on the local media I calle dthe local 'RATS nest and was told, "Sorry all the tickets are gone".

I can't attack the rats for that since tickets are required for GOP events up here too.

Personally, I don't agree with it, but it's not my call.

Tickets required in Missouri also.

I wonder how much of that is simply for purposes of security, post 9-11.... (We didn't need tickets for the Dole rally in St. Louis 1996.)

The difference is that you can actually GET tickets for the Bush events. The Kerry events say there are tickets but they are all given out long before you are aware an event is planned.

I called to get tickets for a kerry event here just to see if I could. The lady at the KERRY CAMPAIGN headquarters told me that there were none. She said that they had all been issued before the hdqtrs ever knew there was an event planned! So, they may say you can get tickets, but I bet you can't.
