Kerry: bypassing Iowa due to laryngitis
The Blogspirator ^ | 9/23/04 | The Blogspirator

CEDAR RAPIDS --- Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry won't be coming to Davenport and Cedar Rapids today. Instead, vice presidential candidate John Edwards will take his place.

Campaign officials say that Kerry's voice is strained, and he needs to conserve it for the debates against President Bush, the first of which is coming up a week from today in Coral Gables, Fla. The three debates are considered a pivotal juncture in the campaign. The Blogspirator recently had laryngitis. It lasted for three weeks.

At the point of one week, he couln't talk at all.

One week from now... the debates.

Ouch.

Maybe it has something do with internal Democrat polls?

The voice box is a mirror which reflects the ills of man. This includes stress. Stress can lead to misuse of the muscles around the vocal cords. This in turn produces hoarseness.

He's taking time off to determine which side of the issues he'll take at the debates. I'm sure he is betting his whole campaign on the debates and wants to practice.

HMm Let's see. Stressed, tired, losing his voice, looking like death warmed over a little more each day.

So was Edwards originally scheduled to do nothing today??

I have yet to see what Edwards cancelled in order to subsrtitute for the ailing Kerry.

Bet it cut into his ambulance chasing or something.

Maybe he's trying to secure a new Rather to carry his dirty rotten lies. Until then, he's off the campaign trail.

AHHH, the good people of my home town of Davenport catch a break. They will only have to look at the Breck girl today.

Kerry was just on Fox News calling the President of Iraq a liar.

Have to give him credit for overcoming his laryngitis enough to do that. Jeez..

>>I saw him last night on TV... he was "horse." Oops, "hoarse"

Well, looks like a horse, of course, of course.

>>The voice box is a mirror which reflects the ills of man. This includes stress. __Stress can lead to misuse of the muscles around the vocal cords. This in turn produces hoarseness___

...as heard in that Fri night CBS newscast (last Fri
or was it a wk ago Fri) when Dan-0 sounded like he
suddenly got laryngitis!

I know in the past Bubba got hoarse from constant
speechifying in campaigns. Then again when you talk
on and on and on and on like he did, it wasn't
surprising that eventually the voice would give out.
(Remember his '88 speech at the DNC? When everyone
started clapping when he said, "And in conclusion...")

Damn, we want Kerry to keep talking. That's why Bush agreed to 3 debates, they know the more Kerry spews his venom, the better for Bush. The Dems know this, that is why Kerry did no news conferences for 5 weeks, and when he had to, a couple days ago, he didn't help his cause. (also being overshadowed by blathergate didn't help).

AHHH, the good people of my home town of Davenport catch a break. They will only have to look at the Breck girl today.

Edwards? That's not a Breck (sorry...break).

A statement that I'd like to see VPOTUS address at the debate is:

"Mr. Edwards, I'd like to talk about your Senate vote on (issue 1), your vote on (issue 2), your vote on (issue 3, and so on).

"I'd like to talk about it, but there is nothing to talk about, seeing as how you were not there to do the job to which the people of North Carolina elected you.

"Meanwhile, you are still accepting your salary, as is your running mate, for a job that you are not doing, yet you have the temerity and the audacity to accuse the Commander-in-Chief and myself of dishonesty. Your comment?"

(stammering)..."uh....mah dad worked ina meeeeeeeeel..."

Kerry meets today with his new campaign manager to discuss how to handle the upcoming defeat....

Campaign manager? I thought that was his running mate...
