The sign makes it look like the Democrats are "Fighting (against) the War on Terror" (before they weren't).

Looks like a spray tan - done by Earl Sheib or Fact-O-Bake.

It's not his tanning bed, it's his family's tanning bed.

Wouldn't it be a freaking riot if his face was peeling on Thursday???
To: Marcus Alonzo Hanna
I think his innate meanness will come out in the debates to his detriment.

Hi, M2C, where you been? I've been busy at the local Rep Hq. Been looking forward to telling you what I'm seeing there. I've volunteered there and on candidate campaigns since the mid 1980's. This is BY FAR the most excited I've seen Republicans ever. We weren't getting much Bush-Cheney04 supplies like yard signs, buttons, bumper stickers and such, but we had hundreds of people put their names on a to-call list for when the stuff came in. Hundreds more went directly to the GWB website and got stuff from there, or went to other offices outside this district.
Based solely on my experiences on other campaigns through the years as compared to this year, I honestly think the Bush campaign may have made a mistake not to campaign here. I think the state might have been in play if the campaign had the resources to put up a real fight here. In any case, Republicans just might turn out in big numbers. If our Dubya keeps his currently comfortable lead in the polls through the end of October, maybe a lot of Dems won't bother to vote. If so, who knows -- maybe California will be a surprise.
There's also a lot of disappointment in Bill Jones among the Republican volunteers and activists I know. Jones is simply not campaigning. It isn't that he's running a bad campaign; it's that he's not running a campaign at all. Also a lot of disappointment in Arnold, because he's not campaigning for any Republicans in the state, and not using his position as leader of the CAGOP to help rebuild the party here. One of his closest advisors is Willie Brown and, of course, Arnold just appointed Henry Cisneros to some patronage commission.
As for Mr. Dork-in-Chief Kerry, what can I say. This photo was taken Saturday. It's nearly identical to one we all had a great laugh over earlier in the summer. Apparently neither he nor anyone on his staff has a clue about how to control his image. And they want us to let them run the country in a time of war? No way, no how!
