JEB FIGHTS BACK Mon Sep 27 2004 20:33:05 ET

Florida Gov. Jeb Bush's office yesterday said charges by former President Jimmy Carter that the state is "likely" to have a repetition of the voting problems that plagued the 2000 election are politically motivated by Democrats intent on undermining voter confidence in the state.

The WASHINGTON TIMES's Joe Curl will report on Tuesday: State officials also said the former president made no attempt to get up-to-date information before writing an opinion piece and never tried to contact the governor's office or that of Secretary of State Glenda Hood.

"This is a shockingly partisan opinion piece and it's unfortunate that a person such as the former president is being used by the Democratic Party for low-level political rhetoric," said Jacob DiPietre, press secretary for Gov. Jeb Bush.

Why am I not surprised when a Democrat former President shows absolutely no class?

This was in response to the "caption this" thread on Carter earlier today, Jimmy was whinging about likely voter fraud in FL. Carter's a geezer, in other words.

No offense at all to the "Terri Schaivo" situation, which is indeed very sad.

So, now we know who wrote that Bush memo. He didn't even consult anybody in the know, he made it out of whole cloth.

jimmah is a doddering old man; he sanctioned the Venezuelan election, where there were more votes for the party in power than was actually possible. FLORIDA, on the other hand, is beyond hope? this man was a disaster as president; I'm not sure why he won't shut up and let us all forget him.

Someone needs to tell Jimmah Carter to shove a peanut up his nose and blow it out his ear!

Naw, that might make him useful.

"Someone needs to tell Carter to keep his anti-Americanism to himself"

I'd recommend a brief conversation with Da Man, VP Cheney.
He gives excellent advice to backstabbers like Carter.

That's the talking point they need to hit. If the Dems are going to make a charge, they have to PROVE the charge. Same thing with crying Republicans are racists. If Republicans are stopping blacks from voting, PROVE it. Otherwise my retort is that you are the lowest form of humanity on this Earth for accusing innocents of these vile charges. The reality is that it is Dems trying to keep Nader off the ballot. Democrat precincts were the ones that supposedly had voters turned away. It was a Democrat state supreme court that attempted to break law to rule only a few precincts be counted once more. It was Democrats that tried to toss military ballots in the trash. It was Democrats that locked the doors to attempt to keep observers out while they manipulated ballots. It is even Dems that are overwhelmingly registered TWICE in both NY and Florida! Sure, there are troubles in Florida. Evidence points entirely to Dems as the problem.

When will he ever realize how much damage he has already done to the country? Doesn't he have a shred of decency? When will he stop?

Ever read the Book, "The Real Jimmy Carter"? It tears the cover off this hypocrite. Here is my book review on Amazon.com...obviously FIVE STARS....

The Truth is Here, June 13, 2004

This book Is riveting to me because I lived through all the events. This book is not a positional polemic. Hayward runs a logical thread through Carter's career and replays it with clarity. What emerges is a "plan" that is either the product of total ineptitude or gross malfeasance. Hayward points out from scores of quotes from such right wing sources as Daniel Patrick Moynihan, "The New Republic," and Tip O'Neill that Carter's "policies" as president were nothing more than series of "choose and lose" blunders, a potpourri of esoteric mushy/moralistic wishes and noble intentions that were light years from what Jack Welch calls "The Reality Principle."

Carter SAYS he is a Christian but an examination of the proof points for that assertion shows this may be a simple storefront to mask his meglomania. His favorite word is the personal pronoun " I " and he is the hero of every story he tells. This book shows how Carter is addicted to flattery - even from the coarsest dictators, that he is a mean-spirited and detached loner who puts up with others only if they genuflect to his syrupy guile. If Carter is a Christian, then Yasser Arafat is Francis of Assisi. At least, this is how Carter sees this murderous thug who masquerades as a "head of state." His other close buddies? Mostly Stalinists like Kim Jong Il's predecessor, Mohammed Fara Aidid, and others of the same ilk. Truly amazing.

After seeing the wonderful tribute to Reagan at his passing, the contrast to Carter is larger than ever. Carter preyed on the minds of the American people to give him another chance after he took the American people to task for their materialism in 1979 rather than taking responsibility for the disasterous conditions HIS amateurish policies brought about. Thankfully, the American people didn't buy it and the current generation was providentially delivered from disaster in the election of 1980. This book is a recap of what REALLY happened. It is long overdue to isolate and advertise Carter's record and along with Soviet Communism consign it to the ash heap of history.

The bright and funny members of the Carter clan died early of cancer. This prune-faced whiner needs to thank God that he is still breathing and stop making such an a** of himself in his remaining years.

"Talk about kicking a state while it's down"

I really hadn't thought of that. It is terrible. The poor people of Florida have had to endure too much to be bothered with such tripe. These politicians don't care one fig about the people of Florida or the problems they are facing. It's all about Power-Power-Power and I don't mean electrical--which the people of Florida could use about now. Bless you all Florida freepers!

The idiot is suppressing the democrat vote - no sense for democrats to go to the polls, since it is all rigged, he suggests.
Thanks, Jimmy!
We recall the quality of your leadership and are not surprised you are still a fool.

Does anybody but the far left take Carter seriously? He was the single worst president of the 20th century (and that includes Nixon).
