California FReepers, I need your help.
Yesterday on the Larry Elder show, a caller reported seeing a license plate in Santa Monica on a Volvo. It said "F Dubya". Then, the purported owner of the vehicle, a jerk named Phil, called in to the show. He was really proud.
After a few minutes, Larry handed Phil his lunch. He claimed to be well-read but Larry showed him to be a hate-filled Santa Monica liberal fool.
Let's do more than hand him his lunch. I spoke to the DMV, and if they get more than one letter, they will look into taking back a plate that citizens find offensive. The woman with whom I spoke, understood how the plate could be offensive. An "F Kerry" plate would not, because Kerry is a real last name. No one has the name Dubya; the only reference anywhere is that it is the nickname of our commander in chief.
On the show, Phil said that he couldn't believe they allowed him to have the plate.

The DMV has issued a vanity license plate that reads “F DUBYA”. I thought that California did not issue offensive vanity plates.
This plate is vulgar and offensive in the extreme.
Dubya is the very popular kick name of our President, George W. Bush. The letter “F”, pronounced “eff”, is common slang for the word “f**k”. So the message on this vanity plate is: “F**k President Bush”.
This vanity plate must be revoked immediately.

Police received an anonymous tip in August that a child was locked in the trunk of her Volvo. A dog was in the car's passenger seat when officer's arrived. Officers found a sleeping bag, pillow and car battery were in the trunk, NBC 7/39 reported. The boy told police he had been put in the trunk about 10 other times.

The plate is a washington issued plate, and fyi, since it was evoked it is being stold on ebay for 1000's..ironic.
