A massive spike in voter registrations has placed the Las Vegas area on a pace to lead the nation in the percentage of new voters and has resulted in Democratic gains that could affect the general election in Nevada, a key battleground state.

"unless you're talking about the 1960 vote in Chicago"

I agree with you completely, every adult legal citizen has the right to vote and be registered.

My concern is that this may resemble your statement about the Chicago vote. My comments concern the fact that every voter registered must be verified to be legal and alive.

"I doubt a credible investigation of this situation could be accomplished in 30 days under Ashcroft or any other AG"

You are right, but then the DEEMS knew that when they started using this tactic. The polls require a valid Nevada ID be presented prior to voting but I wonder how many of these are going to be asking for absentee ballots.

I suppose it's theoretically possible that the Democrats are out-hustling the Republicans on voter registration, but the appearance of these "Voter Registration way up in battle ground states" articles in Democrat house organ papers in "Blue"/non-battle ground states does sound as if someone's attempting to offer an rationalization for vote tallies that will sound suspiciously like good old fashioned ballot box stuffing. Prior to the debate, where the Republicans once again showed their political ineptitude, I would have said, "surely the GOP is aware of this, and the party is preparing effective countermeasures". Post debate, however, I'm not convinced that anyone in the Bush Campaign has a clue on what to do about the fraud that will occur. It doesn't take much for a Lefty Democrat to rationalize fraud, perjury and dirty tricks. With the "Remember Florida 2000" battle cry to guide them, there is probably little the aptly nick-namded 'Rats won't do to counteract the "Republican's attempts to disenfranchise voters".

Same thing here in my big, (area) little, (population) mostly conservative county. We have a total year round population of about 18,000 and the County Clerk has received over 7,000 voter registrations in the last couple of months.

The next county over, last week received about a thousand new registrations... most of them using one of the same half dozen addresses.

A liberal activist judge from "up north" has declared that no IDs can be checked for registration or at the polls.

The Democrats are going to steal the election in NM once again. (Gore won here in 2000 by less than 400 after a "lost" ballot box was "found" at the last moment.... And absentee ballots were never counted in three counties.

Oh good grief people.

Let people sign up and vote. Isn't that what America is all about.

A TON of people are legitimately signing up. Who cares.

We can get people to go sign up and vote as well.

Get off your lazy butts and do something instead of whining about everything.

I hope we have 100% voter turn-out. GASP

There is fraud on BOTH sides...and don't act like there isn't.

Everyone knows this...

If there is fraud then it should be investigated. Otherwise...who cares. The more people that vote the better.

Are we scared of people voting? It sounds like it on this thread.

And don't give me the crap about "no we are not scared of people voting...we are scared of fraud"

bah

Now we know where the Soros money went.......

Some counties have registration that exceeds the population.

Wake up and smell the vote fraud... ACT is using Soros' millions to hire felons to go through the phone book and forge thousands of voter registrations... Project Vote just caught red-handed in election felonies, improperly certifying thousands more... One county (Franklin Co., OH) which grew by 26,000 population in the last four years has received 90,000 new registrations, which gives them more registered voters than residents of voting age... and on and on and on.

Go to keyword "votefraud" and read up a bit. There's no one here who has any objection to a legitimate voter legitimately registering to vote, even if they are far-left radical Democrats. What is going on here - and on an apparently unprecedented scale - is massive, deliberate, and organized fraud by the Democrats and allied groups throughout the nation.

Fraud on both sides? Find one example of GOP fraud, please, and let's compare.

I just hope that the fruadulent registrations can be found. But I think we also need to look at this: Even if they do have all these registrations, it still doesn't amount to a vote. They can register all they want, but the people still have to vote.

There is nothing illegal or wrong about it (unless you're talking about the 1960 vote in Chicago!)

Have you been living in a cave,or under a rock???

People are worried that in 2048 we'll still be talking about the infamous 2004 voter fraud ....

Thousands of felons have been 'registering' thousands of imaginary people all around the county.

I'm in LV, and I'm working the election. I got the call on Friday. I'll be keeping my eyes open for any voter fraud.

The last day for open registration was Friday. Now you have to go down to the election board to register.

What we need is a HUGH "get out the vote" campaign.I'm calling W's campaign office on Monday to volunteer.

I'm really sick to my stomach thinking about the vast opportunities for voter fraud this year.

You cannot enter the Hard Rock Casino gift shop without passing a very large staffed table set up in the entrance by the "nonpartisan" Rock the Vote. Looked like a fire hazard to me.

no they don't. the votes of those people can and are cast for them. that's where the voter fraud comes in. you don't think the Dems are stupid do you - its not the registration that counts, its the vote.
