Scots-Irish on my mother's side for me as well...with a touch of Blackfoot! I always thought that was so odd. It's even odder to find someone else with a similar heritage.
English and we believe some Dutch on my father's side but traces back at one point to a surname of Reagan.
I'm slightly perturbed here since my bloodline is French,German, Scott's Irish, Welsh and Wyandotte ( branched off from the Huron's). I guess you could call me All American and I am not the color of your little red wagon but as they use to specify olive complexioned. No not Moccha Mix.
another good book that includes the Scots-Irish immigration:

Especially for the ones (Scots) that had lived in the endlessly bellicose
regions of the borderlands...these folks were genetically-selected to survive and
thrive in uncivilized places in the new America.
IIRC, Will Rogers was from the part of the Cherokee tribe that was produced by
inter-marriage of Cherokees with Scots-Irish settlers.
Same 'ere
The Steel Bonnets is a great book.
Andrew Johnson, who finished Lincoln's second term, missed being impeached by one vote.

Thank you for answering;
I saw your answer about 2 hours ago or so,
I've a second question;
Basically, did the Clans (and accompanying Tartan) still exist in Northern Ireland?
Meaning, I believe we actually, have one of those Tartans that symbolized each Clan and that is pretty interesting.
I even think, the Clan I'd be related to, is not even a last name in our family's reasonably recent history, but it is there.
Thanks!
Clan McGregor on my mother's side, full blooded Irish great-grandfather on my father's side.
The Henricksons are Swedish, of course, but my mother was a Clark and thus Scots-Irish. I was told we're related to Revolutionary War General George Rogers Clark and his brother, Louisiana Purchase explorer William Clark. The famous Clark red hair and height runs in the family. (I'm 6'3" and I get some orange hairs in my beard when I let it grow out.)
. . . . . George Rogers Clark . . . . . . . . . . . . . . William Clark
>>>It's not clear how many of the Scots-Irish arriving on our shores were descended from the Scots Protestant settlers of Ulster and how many may have been Protestants or Catholics from other parts of Ireland or with deeper Irish roots.
It seems there are many of them in the Eastern Canadian provinces -- you can see their restored, historical Catholic churches along the road.
After your comments, I wonder if they migrated there from the colonies after the Revolutionary War with many British sympathizers who fled payback by their neighbors.
Hoppy
So it was similar to Clinton's impeachment only Clinton didn't skate by one vote?
You know, grandpa Dan was Scots-Irish.
Scot, maternally and paternally. Born fighting, all of us.
Welsh that are known, seem to have a blonde crop of hair, uh, Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame, reknown Football/Soccer great John Charles, Stevie Nicks, maybe a lot of that color is from a bottle but still.
That's some odd symbol on the flag of Wales. A dragon, nice visual of the Dark Ages days.
I guess they are such good sports, that if what you said about most any minority, it would be rather severe but I know it's kidding like saying, well I won't go there with anyone.
"Born fighting!"
It's a great title, isn't it?
"And all-in-all, except for weird Uncle Fred, things have worked out very well for us."
LOL, every family has one!
Me too.............married to an Italian, but 100% American. :)
