The Best Cheney hay-maker of the night..........a knock out punch.
That was a good one, but I think the most devastating comment was the one where Cheney said:
"If Kerry can't stand up to the pressures of Howard Dean, how is he going to stand up to Al Qaeda?"
To: no dems
Edwards reacted like he was slapped most of the time, whereas Cheney was calm with every response...comfortable enough in some instances to not even offer a respond; kind of like a father who knows that words aren't necessary to explain to those around how off base the excitable child is.

Why is Ron jr. on TV? Is there a long tradition of dancers becoming political analysts that I'm unaware of?

Edwards has no business running for president, vice-president or anything else. He may be a fine lawyer, but he has no authority, no intellectual depth, and simply repeated a handful of talking points--"We have a plan..." Some criticized Bush in the same way, but Bush made a number of good points--NKorea, for example--while the best Kid-wards could do was say "Haliburton" a few times.
The dems who are so enamored of this pretty boy are reconsidering their love for him.

You think the debate was a tie? Perhaps you were watching a rerun of the Cheney-Lieberman fiasco from 4 years ago. There actually was a "LIVE" Cheney debate tonite, and he kicked the living you-know-what out of pretty boy.
If Cheney didn't reassure you tonite, I don't know what would.

Hay-maker--- powerful swinging punch: a powerful swinging punch, especially in a boxing match

Cheney put Edwards in his place tonight, the part about his not very impressive record was a grand slam too. More importantly, Cheney didn't just put Edwards in his place. He reached out and smacked Kerry all over the place from long distance.

There is not much I like about Moyers, but I like that he is giving the third party candidates a voice.

Gosh, isn't it nice to be nice - Joe Scar. even -
I think what people should be paying attention to are the names both Kerry and Edwards mention to attack the other side. McCain, Powell, Bremer(was this planned, perhaps?) - and the other so called "Republicans" who always give fuel to the Socialist Democrats. The "true" conservatives have got to get those people out - so the party can move forward and that would also aid the nation in moving forward -
just my thoughts -

I felt the complete opposite about Edwards. He looked like something most people cannot stand... an argumentative, snotty attorney. My dad is an attorney, so I don't mean all of them are bad :)
There was just this quality that I've seen in those self proclaimed hotshot dipsh*ts I have known who went to law school. I mean the ones who think that being a lawyer somehow grants them automatic status as super intelligent and deserving of wealth.
My wife thought he was a cartoon digging himself into a hole. I believe the word she used was "cheesy."

FACT CHECK... Poor, Poor, Mill Worker could never afford a TV in lets say what 1960 or so depending on how little he was when he came down the stairs and saw poor mill worker daddy watching a TV set that would amount to about $2,000 in todays money....Kerry Edwards... Short on style and substance... Go get real jobs and pay your taxes. Stop stealing from medicare.
I actually started laughing out loud when he started in on his daddy story. Cheney just sat there with that sideways look, wearing that bemused expression on his face. Edwards has never looked more like a complete idiot in his life than he did at that moment.
