The two men vying to fill Northern Kentucky's seat in Congress will meet face-to-face twice next week in the first true debates between them. Democrat Nick Clooney and Republican Geoff Davis will square off Monday in a live, statewide TV debate on KET and again Wednesday during a debate at Northern Kentucky University that is open to the public.

About two weeks ago he started getting into specifics and proposed the largest tax increase in U.S. history. He was scheduled to appear with Geoff the next night. He sent Congressman Lucas in his place. A couple of days later he skipped another debate. It will be very interesting when Geoff finally gets to pin him down.
I have to admit that I liked him as an AMC host years ago.
How is he doing in the race so far?
I sure he's a nice man.
I don't think he'll make a good congressman though. He has taken some really liberal positions and the apple does not fall far from the tree.
The KY-04 is a hyper GOP district. Bush and Bunning should win the district by landslides. I don't see how a RAT can win the KY-04 in a Presidential Year.
He was a local news anchor here in Northern Kentucky for years. I hope people won't decide to give old Nick a chance. He has a narrow, very liberal outlook on more than a few issues.
Nick had an illustrious if not beloved tenure in Cincinnati area before he moved on to Los Angeles for awhile and did some news anchoring there. He's been back in the Greater Cincinnati Area for quite some time now...
He was arguably one of the best news anchors in Cincinnati broadcast history - which was why he was noticed from CA and hired out there in the second largest market int he country. He lives in Alexandria, Ky and this is why he is running there for Congress.
Sad to hear he is so liberal...
