True, but again, there are exception to every rule and IMO this would be one of those situations. The NFL opened themselves to this by only allowing players (minus the Cardinals) to wear his number in tribute in week 2. There is a lot more symbolism in tearing that sticker off than putting it on and the NFL failed to weigh that into there decision.
