what would they do to a modem user!!! They're rough. I'm at the far end of a very long run of copper that gets up to 26kbps on a dry day. Did I mention I'm in Seattle...?

I'm south of Tacoma out toward Mt Rainier in the boonies and my modem gets 44 - 48 kb/sec. How come you get such low speed up there?
