I can hear the press and the outrage if the president had said something negative about Kerry's daughters

How does the John and Teresa consider Cheney's daugher's private life fair game but not consider their financial information, Kerry's divorce records and his military records fair game?

Even the Christian right - who team Kerry thought would be turned off to learn that a member of President Bush's political family is gay ...

Heh, heh...this guy has no clue into his opponents' thinking.

Exactly. The Bush's and Cheney's have more class, character and morals than to sink to the level of kerry/edwards. Liberals amongst other things are hypocrites!

Can you imagine the outrage from the MSM/Kerry Campaign if anyone from the Bush campaign mentioned Kerry's daughter's anatomy in the see through dress? Or the obesity of Liz Edwards in relation to health care costs? They are campaigning, does that make those topics "fair game"?

Some pundits thought that the gay-baiting ploy could be politically fatal, with WABC Radio's Monica Crowley flatly predicting on Saturday that it could "cost Kerry the election."

There is nothing a liberal politician could do that would be politically fatal, as long as the MSM is running interference. A better example of John Edward's "Two Americas) is nowhere to be found than the hypocracy of the media.

Kerry is a scumbag on the par with Bill Clinton at his 'best'. God bless Liz and Mary.

No good thing can ever come from airing other peoples dirty laundry.

Obviously this is one of many things that JFkerry missed out on while attending boarding school.

I wish I'd seen that!

btw, I believe the author got it wrong--Mrs. Cheney's first name is "Lynne."

am anti-kerry, but what's the BIG DEAL 'bout info that the V.P.'s child is homosexual?! it's kerry's political risk if he wants to make an issue of it, and likely be seen in a 'negative light'.

Even the Christian right - who team Kerry thought would be turned off to learn that a member of President Bush's political family is gay - has rallied to Mary Cheney's defense.

I'm not part of the ''Christian right'', but I've known about it for at least a year. It wasn't ''news'', but it was an invasion of privacy. Kerry doesn't know Mary Cheney & couldn't possibly have had her permission to talk about her sex life much less to presume to read her mind. OTOH, Kerry almost certainly knows Barney Frank & Barney Frank is a public figure.

This would NEVER happen, but would we all not be delighted if Lynne Cheney had whipped out a copy of THAT photo of Alexandra and asked her, right on camera of the show, to autograph it as a memoir of the campaign?

This idea is but one (minor reason) I will never be elected Vice President!

Ya - and Kerry still won't apologize - its really backfired and I'm be happy if it costs him the election. Poor Alexandra has no idea why it wasn't appropriate for her father to say what he said. If President Bush had outed her sexuality, you can bet the Democrats and the liberal media would be all over it. Using the other opponent's children to score political points has always been regarded as being off-limits in a campaign. Americans know a political cheap shot when they see one.

Alexandra Kerry's response just solidified the "talking points" that no doubt went out as a response to this gaffe. You couldn't possibly be the fruit of Kerry's loins and not be morally bankrupt.

One thing that irritates me though, is all these demands for apologies on both sides. Never gonna happen, it is crunch time and will continue to get nastier. They all need to just point out what is wrong about what the other says without demanding apologies. It has long since lost it's effectiveness.

Liz should have bit4!-slapped Alexandra.

Mrs. Edwards lacks poise and dignity.

Her husband lacks class.

John Kerry is nothing but a sour pussed pompous snot.

And what else is Mama Bucks Teresa Kerry adding to her gin and raisin elixir?

Liz Cheney has every right to be demanding an apology. We all demand an apology. The sniveling left only deserves our disdain.
