Remember UAW rules in MI, and by contract they get 11/2/2004 as a day off to vote!!
The UAW is nowhere near the political force it once was. I think about 40% of its members vote Rebuplican. Secondly, I don't think getting the day off brings out the vote all that much. Those that were inclined to vote , would have anyway, while the disinclined will use the free time to shop at Walmarts.
