I'd surely like to hear your report, however, without a police or news report about it, it doesn't fit in with the others, so I can't use it.

I let everyone on the Michigan board know about what I experienced so that if they went out canvassing in hostile territory they would know what to expect. A week after I did my canvassing, I discussed what happened to a local police officer. He said I should have contacted the department immediately and that they would have had an officer act on the threats of violence. For whatever reason, it never occurred to me that these were actual threats, that these people really wanted to do me harm. I was simply too shocked to think clearly about it. These folks are my neighbors, for crying out loud! I still want to be sick when I think back on it.
