I saw your post in the corner yesterday about Bush spending lots of time in Crawford this weekend. I see that you've since noticed him stumping Florida today. I've been with him...all day and am now awaiting him to arrive in Jacksonville where 40,000 or more people will fill Alltel Stadium (where the Jags play) for a rally. He helicoptered in to his first event in Ft. Myers, landing in centerfield of the Red Sox (ha!) Single-A affiliate to the screams of the crowd of 12,000 Even cynical members of the press corps were impressed. He will finish the day completing four rallies in Republican-friendly areas of Florida, giving his speech to perhaps more than 70,000 people all told. This is undoubtely an impressive get-the-base-fired-up stretch by any definition or sense of history. And while he overnights in Crawford tonight, we're out on Sunday afternoon for a rally in New Mexico. He originally had no public events scheduled for Sunday (he traditionally likes to rest on the Sabbath), but the NM event was added early this week. I think he learned his lesson in 2000: Run hard all the way through the tape. Monday it's another hectic day, with one rally in Colorado and two in Iowa. Then it's on to a four-city bus tour through the heart of rural Wisconsin on Tuesday. Wednesday is one stop in Pennsylvania, two in Ohio and one in Michigan (obviously Corner speculation that Michigan might be winnable is shared by Rove). He's wearing out the press corps, but his energy seems endless. And he's using it.

I can't even imagine how dreadful it must be to cover Kerry day in and day out.
Why is Fox not showing the Bush Florida rallies??????
God speed Mr. President
I seem to recall 4 years ago, C-Span was practically full time political rallies for the last 3 weeks of the campaign. I did see they had one of W's Florida rallies today...they even showed Marine 1 arriving to the thrill of the crowd. But it's not wall-to-wall coverage. Maybe this week.
I like the tone of this reporter's email, though. Sounds like Dubya's running 'em ragged. And I bet he's enjoying every minute of it!
I can't even imagine how dreadful it must be to cover Kerry day in and day out.
i know right?
everytime i see him on tv giving a speech i either change the channel or mute the tv
it's just that PAINFUL!
It's been said here many times already, but the contrast between the size and enthusiasm of Bush's crowds vs. Kerry's is striking. I hope it's a sign of things to come, vis-a-vis Nov. 2.
I......blah, blublah, buhbla and I blah,blah,served in Vietnam, Blablah,blah, blablablah.......Let me tell you I Blah, BlaBlah, blahblablah.......Plan.
The only "behind the scenes" report I've seen from a Kerry presser was that hysterical pool report about his hunting trip. It sounded like he didn't buy any friends in the press pool with that stunt. Loser.
I acually watched a few minutes of a Kerry rally this afternoon. You nailed it...it was "painful".
This had nothing to do with my partisan leanings. He was reading from notes and holding the mike like it was a life preserver. He was totally lifeless.
I think their internal polls have to be pretty grim.
I hope they're devastating.
Reporters following Kerry must feel drained, as though they'd been attacked by a vampire. Kerry is so negative and dark, he sucks up every single erg of positive energy in the room. I saw one of his supporters on a local telelvised town hall meeting last night. Not a bad looking retired woman, but limp, whining, "Well, there's really nothing we can do. If terrorists decide to attack us, they will." So Kerry-like. So disgusting.
Based on recent history, I'd say her reaction would be pretty predictable:
Blame Bush instead of the terrorists.
Filling football stadiums......AMEN. On one knee every night before I go to sleep.....for a moment each night till Nov. 3 I'll pray......God Bless America, Keep her safe, and watch over GWB till his duty is done.
The President was GREAT!! Everyone at the stadium was really hyped!! I loved the whole day. We had our younger girls in W shirts and they were so cute! if I say so myself! It was a wonderful experience. Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!
W! W! W!
Amen that.
Wow! Did you take that picture?! Terrific!
Amen to your post #13
