This may be the character on the al Qaeda videotape held by ABC News.

I grew up on an extremely rural goat ranch in Western Riverside County, California, This was bound to cause trouble.

According to one analyst, the voice on the tape is the voice of someone who learned to speak English in America at a young age, but is still a person for whom English is a second language.
This guy grew up in a monolingual English-speaking home.

In the Name of Allah, most Compassionate, most Merciful Compassion and mercy seem to have little place in this guy's Islamic philosophy.

I discovered that the beliefs and practices of this religion fit my personal theology and intellect as well as basic human logic.
Hummmm That explains a lot.

This may be the character on the al Qaeda videotape held by ABC News. If so, I guess he's become the worst of what he didn't like to see/hear from other people - a crazy fanatic. How many of the Christians he despises are flying airplanes into skyscrapers? Does his Allah approve of such actions?

I knew well that they were not the bloodthirsty, barbaric terrorists that the news media and the televangelists paint them to be. I guess that he thinks the attacks on the Trade Center, the mass murder of Israelis on buses and restaurants, and sawing off of people's heads with a rusty knife are all examples of the gentleness and kindliness of the "Religion of PeaceTM"

...I gradually realized I could not be a Christian. In the meantime, I had become obsessed with demonic Heavy Metal music...
Gee, what a coincidence! This guy is "obsessed with demonic music" and realizes he c"ould not become a Christian". BRILLIANT! As the Good Book says, darkness and lightness cannot co-exist. Evidently, darkness and Isam get along just fine, though. Quite revealing.

"... all Muslims are free to reflect and interpret the book given a sufficient education." Which is exactly why Islam cannot be reformed. It is also the reason we have Islamic terrorism. So what to do? Well fortunately for us the naughty ones have unwittingly solved that problem for us by putting us in a position of "kill or be killed" where they are concerned.
