Indeed, no choice could be clearer. This is fine writing by Mr. Hanson -- Senator Kerry's election would be a disaster perhaps unmatched in our foreign policy annals, and at the very least fully equal to the disasters of Presidents Clinton and Carter.
IMHO, Kerry would make Carter look good.
