President Bush and Democratic challenger John Kerry remain locked in a close race for Florida's 27 electoral votes as they head into the final days of the 2004 campaign, a new poll indicated Thursday.

This was reported in the local papers this morning.
If true, Rove may have blown it.
Yikes...that's not good.
I read somewhere else that Bush was ahead 45 to 41 in early voting in Florida. And newsmax isn't exactly a reliable source.
Obviously using different sources that Jim Gerughty at NRO.
Good for this. I doubt if its true, because the MSM would be screaming about it, but it will motivate the heck of the base.
ewwwwwwwwwwwwww if elected he'll show Fla what "LOVE IS LIKE" for the next four years......
I guess Edwards and Kerry will french kiss on air if they win Fla....
This is freaking me out!
not sure if there sources are the most accurate ... NRO has Bush up in FL early voting ...

Why is info given to me (and Kathryn)? I suspect that in some GOP circles, Kerry Spot and NRO are seen as a good way to reach the Bush base voters who are plugged into the Internet, keeping up with the news, etc. I think the info gets thrown my way to make sure the base isn't being panicked by the Kerry spin from some corners the mainstream media...
So heres the news for today.
Among early and absentee votes cast already, Bush has huge lead in FL, bigger than his advantage in Florida in 2000..."
September 22, 2004-Stealth DU'er?
I think that's the point, unless the Bush campaign has once again, like in 2000, screwed up in their prediction of Florida. Could explain why Cheney's in Hawaii. They need the EVs.
