Don't freak over early Florida numbers, the electronic voting machines are in south florida, in heavy dem areas. Means they will turn in numbers before other areas and give Kerry an early lead

I think some of the listed poll closing times are wrong. I know the NC one is wrong. They have it listed as 7:30. It is 7.

Also, Florida has 2 closing times as the panhandle is in the central time zone.

Don't freak over early Florida numbers

Only when Dan Rather calls it for Kerry at 6PM EST

7 p.m. EST. Polls close in Florida, Georgia, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Vermont, and Virginia.

THIS IS NOT RIGHT!

PART of the polls close in Florida at 7 PM EST, but part are open to 8 PM EST (panhandle).

We need to call the networks and make sure that they don't try to sway the election by calling it at 7 PM.

That is exactly what they did in 2000.

You're absolutely right. And, I am pretty confident that the panhandle is going to show out for Bush, but I don't want to take any chances. The networks are going to try every dirty trick to benefit Kerry, so we need to fight it at every turn of th page.

I believe it is at 7:30 in NC as I am working as judge at one and wife at another.

Also, those who waited in line for 4 hours are either unemployed who think their joblessness is Bush's fault, or those old farts who have nothing else to do than be be grumpy and hate Bush anyway. I'm not overly concerned about those early voters.

It seems that the earliest numbers won't come in until 9-10PM.
