Don't waste any time with the American Bar Association. The ABA is a voluntary association. You do not have to be a member to practice law. I once was a member of the ABA, but resigned over its liberal stances on most issues, particularly its abortion stance. The ABA has absolutely no authority to discipline any lawyer in any meaningful way.
The place to go to report illegal and unethical legal conduct is to the State Bar (Note not Bar Association) in some states or to the State's highest court in other states. Lawyers are generally licensed by the state where they practice. Some of those state licensing agencies and courts are quite serious about policing their ranks. Of course some are not. In either event, if you intend to register a complaint, register it at the right place.
