This is true, but the Dems have been organized like this for years, every presidential election.. It's nothing new.
GOP has finally joined them.
Dems ground game cannot improve that much above 2000. It was already strong then, and it's very strong now.. But the GOP ground game was non-existant in 2000 and apathetic. GOP had the most room for improvement and they made it.
If Dems improved there ground game by 5%.. GOP has improved there ground game by 50%.

60%+ for Republicans in the T is not supprising honestly. Republicans completely own this state except for 2 areas, Philly region and Pittsburgh Region. Unfortunately there are huge numbers of folks in those regions compared to the T.
What will make or break Bush in PA is how strong he performs in the Philly region. I think Bush will do very well in Pittsburgh... I see absolutely no indication he has remotely the support Gore had here 4 years ago.
If Bush does well in Philly, he will carry the state.

Keep us posted. The folks in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia are all vile and disgust me. Only a few things make me feel shameful and one them is our Unions in this country - absolutely vile.

Outstanding!! You go Pennsylvania! Wouldn't it be sweet to take PA, OH, MI, and FL (can you say landslide?)!
To: Josh in PA
RCP actually has PA closer than either OH or FL. I think we take all 3.

What? It's barely 8:30 am and someone is already calling rural PA for Bush? Get a grip people. It's a long day. Besides, even if all of rural PA voted 100% for Bush, it won't be easy to overcome the heavy dem stronholds of Philly and Pittsburg.

If you are right, I'll buy you a beer. Which means I'll have to drink it for you too because you don't drink. I can't drink 'beer' either, but in this case, I sure would drink one for Jeff!!!!! heh!

I am sure. (ohio)
I heard from a guy this morning who hasn't missed an election in 30 years, and he says he has never seen lines this long. He actually turned around and came to work without voting. He is going to go back later.

You are probably correct. I used to live in Cobb County - Newt's district. There are no Democrats there, so I never experienced this before. I just moved to Pittsburgh last year, so this is new to me. I always knew they were organized, but never witnissed it first hand. Perhaps, this is just normal? Gosh, I hope you are right.
I was a nervous wreck this morning. I feel so much better after voting. I'm still nervous about the results, but pulling the lever for Bush just took an enormous weight off of my shoulders. Amazing!
To: Jeff Head
Sorry Jeff, heard your books are great but your prediction is whack. :D
I like your positive thinking but I see it more as 300-238 for Bush.
