He's saying - "If you contest this, you will take the rest of the Democrat party with you."

The rest of the democratic party? What's left?

They lost the house, the senate, the US presidency, the majority of governers, all by an ever-widening margin, and now we'll get to appoint several more supreme court justices over the next four years ensuring a majority there that could last 30 to 40 years. They have nothing left to lose, they'll fight to the last inch.

All of you quit worrying so much.

Bush/Cheney will carry NM, IA, & NV for a final total of 288 electoral votes and a majority (51%) of the popular vote to Kerry's 250 electoral votes and a minority (48%) of the popular vote.

Celebrate...We have a CLEAR winner and his name is George W. Bush. The last time a President was elected with 50% or more of the popular vote was in 1988! (Clinton never got close to 50% of the popular vote)

In the event that Kerry/Edwards and a flock of lawyers descend on Ohio tomorrow, by state law, OH Secretary of State Blackwell does not have to deal with ANY of them until all of the votes are counted. That cannot be accomplished for at least 11 more days because the provisional ballots aren't even begun to be counted until 11 days after an election.

Then, for Kerry/Edwards to "overturn" the original media-called (legitimate) decision that OH is a Bush state, 2/3 of all of the provisional ballots in OH will have to be determined to be valid and 6 out of every 7 of them will have to contain a vote for Kerry/Edwards. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE!

The absolute WORST case scenario is that Bush and Kerry end up with 269 electoral votes each. In the case of a tie like this, the President is decided by the House of Representative by state delegations and the Vice President is chosen by the Senate. Republicans hold comfortable margins in both Houses of Congress. So...Bush would be elected President by the House and probably Edwards (or possibly John McCain) would be elected Vice President by the Senate.

So we wait a while. No big deal. Been there, done that.

What is important is George W. Bush is now a two-term President - our nation has him for another 4 splendid years!!! Yipee!!
