Oh, brother.
I've been against Specter all along. If they can straighten this out and work with Specter to appoint decent, conservative, pro-life judges, fine. Either way works for me.
Either Specter plays ball, or he's out. As long as that's understood.
But we have good reasons to be suspicious. He has let down his own team again and again in the clinch. His agreement to cooperate would have to be nailed down and watertight.
