I enjoy calling the French "cheese eating surrender monkeys". I also enjoy pointing out that the Poles destroyed French missiles that were sold to the Iraqis illegally. The French profited by the "oil for food" scam while Iraqis died.

There are lots of things that they do that anger and frustrate me. Their lack of longterm memory torques me; how many of us here have grown up hearing stories about family members that died in WWII, rather than meeting them?

There is one thing that supersedes all of that. We are Americans; we have always been there for our allies and we always should be. We have always tried to take the high road; I'll not abandon anyone who needs our help. They may refuse it, but that should be their choice and not ours. It may be that this is what it takes to remind the world who we REALLY are. If their pride makes our help too bitter a pill to swallow, that is their problem. I'll not agree to be any less than we have always been.

I'm not willing to appease any nation or any citizen. I am willing to remind the world that we can get along just as we always have done, by being faithful to our friends and lethal to our enemies.

Now where did I put that asbestos suit...
