I have to disagree with all this admiration for
Bush's passive reaction. Given how the Democratic
party has disgraced itself, given its extremism,
given the vile campaign that was waged against
Bush and his supporters, I would have expected
something more passionate than "it is what it is."
I want my leader to WANT to win. He also should
have had the elementary sense to question the exit
polls. It was Karl Rove who had to rally the
president's men. It should have been the president
himself.
