Not a vet here, but would like to salute my late father who served on UDT team 12 in the Pacific in WWII. Thanks, dad.
I was just given something very precious - a picture of my late father as a buck private in the 106th Illinois Cavalry, circa 1938. Will scan. Dad retired as a Colonel 33 years later.
I am delighted to report that Dad passed his dashing good looks on to his eldest son... ;-)
