GWB or the magazine is not credible. He accomplished what few could. He ran a war campaign against terrorists inside and outside of Iraq. He ran a campaign for re-election where he was outspent probably 2-1. He not only had to run against Kerry, but against the CBS News, ABC News, NBC News, CNN, MSNBC, BBC, the Guardian, New Republic, Newsweek, Time, US News and World Report, NYTimes, Washington Post, Hollywood, late night comedians, the CIA, the State Department, Iran, Syria, France, Germany, Spain, and probably others I cannot remember now.
They asked for the MAN of the year, not the a-hole of the year!
John O'Neill, not only for what he did with Unfit For Command, but for having an inordinate amount of patience and self-control to put up with the venom spewed by O'Donnell, Matthews, Colmes, Erlich, etal.
Through it all, John displayed class, honor and integrity.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
GOD BLESS OUR GREAT COUNTRY AND GOD BLESS OUR GREAT PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH!! He is The Man of The Year and of Our Times, that is for sure.
arafat...its in the bag...remember this is time's choice...
I'd like to see the Marlboro Man, for similar reasons to those already posted. I'm very much afraid Arafat is going to get it anyways, though. This IS Time we're talking about.
I agree, O'Neill for his fearless and relentless presence during the campaign that prevented the election of a traitor to the presidency. O'Neill and the Swiftvets all. Hero's every last one of them.
The Boston Red Sox
What do ya'll think about Arnold ? I wouldn't like it but it would cater to the celebritys and acknowledge the Republican win.
That would be an "out" for them. You know they don't want to give it to Bush or anyone having to do with the war.
SBVT founder John O'Neill.
I agree - this election was a record breaker - but since the partisan media is loathe to give Bush credit for anything .. I too suspect the partisan media will select Arafat - the ultimate SLAP IN THE FACE TO BUSH.
The Massechusetts Supreme Court . . . for triggering the biggest voter backlash against liberalism in our lifetime.
I think Scott Hamilton was a figure skater.
I could be wrong, but I don't remember him being a hockey player. Somehow I can't imagine that.
Laura Bush.
For bringing dignity back to the position of First Lady.
OK, you`re right, a little better clarification plus the free plug to FR
The blogosphere (pajamahadeen sp?).
But true to form, it's more likely if TIME were pressed to name Bush, they would name Rove, to promote the MSM notion that idiot Bush has no brain of his own.
I think it more likely TIME will name Arafat.. in fact, I'd bet serious money on it.
Did Time Magazine even do a story about the Swifties?
If they didn't acknowledge them when they were at the height of their exposure, why would they even consider them?
Also, are we on this thread, giving our pick of what it should be, or are we just saying what we think Time will do?
