And writing for Salon.com, the on-line magazine, Edgar Rivera Colon - self-identified socialist, professor, ethnographer and Episcopalian - said the Democratic Party needs to stop pretending it lives in a secular, rational country

As far as poverty is concerned, I believe the New Testament talks about GIVING to the poor. Not about the government TAKING from the people to spend as it pleased. In fact, the tax collector was among the lowest of the low in those days.

Also, Robin Hood, whom liberals often say "stole from the rich to give to the poor," was actually taking from the authorities to give BACK to the people, wasn't he? I'm not in favor of any kind of theft, but let's get our stories straight.

I give to charity and think it's a great thing to do - to help those less fortunate.

Let them start talking about GOD and their beliefs and maybe they will come to the realization that GOD doesn't agree with the DIMs beliefs. Especially, abortion, burdening taxpayers, stealing, homosexuality, , atheism, religious indifference, etc...
