It won't backfire. They can't lose. If it shows Bush lose he will be an illegitimate President again and if it shows that Bush won again you won't here anything about it only that questions where raised and the conspiracies theories will continue.
Among their circles, yes. The folks already comparing Bush to Hitler won't be deterred by no irregularities being found. To them, that will just prove that the conspiracy goes RIGHT TO THE TOP!
And the red states will see thiir nonsense, and get redder and redder . . .
