I did not see the internet version. His reaction seemed forced to me, though. To me, the guy looked like he was already dead. And the "there, now he's dead," seemed gratuitous.

Perhaps he was verbally reassuring himself? the others? Background information that's been going around on the threads today mentioned that they had experienced or knew of an incident that recently occurred with a rigged body or dying terrorist, where a marine was killed. That may account for his belief that the man was still breathing and posed a threat due to lack of surrender.

I just don't know, I've never been in a situation like that before, having to process multiple variables and influences and make a determination of taking a life. For right now, I'll consider him innocent until prov en guilty. Unlike the POS reporter, he is guilty through and through of base opportunism.

I'll cut him some slack since he has been deep in the $hit over there for who knows how long. I thought his comment was pretty cool. Kinda like something a Bronson or Eastwood character would say. But this guy is a real life bad a$$. IMO he treated that terrorist with the respect he DESERVED.
