Bump!
ORRIN HATCH HAS HAD HIS HEAD UP HIS AS$ SO LONG
HE CAN'T RECOGNIZE SH!T WHEN HE SEES IT!!!
And neither can the people of UT!!!!
We need to send a message to all politicians, that WE THE PEOPLE own this country, and BY LAW run it!
The way to do that is to "Bork" Specter. He needs to know what it feels like to have his name and reputation smeared and his honor called into question, in the same way the Senator's did to Bork and Thomas and all the other conservative nominees. Let him walk in their shoes for a while. Maybe he can learn something.
Specter has proven that he can not be trusted. The President supports him during the primaries, when he would have lost.....and then Specter gets elected and turns and shakes his finger at Bush!
Bush and Santorum got what they campaigned for. Unfortunately, their foolishness hurts everyone!
Just think what could happen when the file stealer is in the oval office herself, and can order around all these secret agencies! HILLARY will be in control of the "patriot act"...isn't that scary?! She will use it in a way it was never meant to be used.
Do the Swifties know anything about this anti war lawyer from Chicago?
Sen. Hatch was worthless as the head of the Judiciary committee. He talks big, but accomplishes little. Too busy sucking up to Ted Kennedy.
Do you remember on August 18, 1998, when Orrin G. Hatch went on a cable news channel and "begged" bILLclinton to "come clean" in the so-called "Monicagate." I don't think Orrin G. Hatch realized how embarrassing he must have seemed to his UT constitutents. Apparently, UT constituents never understood either, for he was easily reelected in 2000.
I said that last night. Never liked Hatch. I don't trust him and dont' trust Spectre. He will betray President Bush.
He alway struck me a decent fellow who would always compromise. The Democrats would take some position hoping to get 50% of what they wanted and Hatch would give them 75% and think he did a good job.
Verizon Wireless is a great thing. It used to cost $5 to call D.C. on the landline, now it's "free".
Can you believe Specter said that? He must have not heard the joke:
"Don't count your Hatch before he chickens.
We can't let this happen; come January, we have to increase the volume.
Do it now, and keep the heat up.
Here is a petition to sign.

Liberty Counsel, Concerned Women for America, NRTL, and many other grassroots orgs are keeping the heat up.
I sat last night and contacted every GOP rep we have. If you do not have the time, contact the judiciary committee members.
Use short, punchy comments to grab their attention.

Ugh. You reminded us.
Yes he can, whenever he looks into a mirror.
I have a couple of different gut feelings:
1. That the "Specterites" are trying to float a trial balloon - there's just too much time between now and January. That's enough time for anything to happen. IMO, if we don't make this our line in the sand, they'll know they don't have to take us seriously regarding other issues.
Or 2. The "Specterite" leadership is trying to convince Arlen that everything's cool, and they'll have the full GOP Senate vote someone else in. That way, the "Specterites" can tell him, "Well, we tried....
We have seen the GOP Senate fold like a cheap camera time and again. I can't imagine they'd EVER hold Arlen's feet to the fire, once they got him into the Chairmanship. I'd go with #1. They're testing us, and trying to placate us at the same time. "Specterites" are disconnected from the reality of the Daschle lesson.
I'm really convinced that NOW is no time to stop. We don't have the luxury of rolling over. Hatch and Santorum have no right to basically tell us that a Specter Chairmanship is how it's going to be, like it or not.
This fight is our line in the sand.
And someone ought to inform Santorum that the ends don't justify the means.
