Why would anyone in their right mind pay 569k and live in New Hampshire, putting up with brutal winters, ice, brown snow, etc why you could pay a few grand more and live in Southern California, with world class, *year round* weather? Hehe.

Orange County CA $599k 3 Bed 2 Bath 2,000 Sq. Ft.

With a knock out views to Catalina Island, city lights, mountains....

That's a nice home in your pic, but man, it's in the wrong place! Been to cold weather, never *ever* again! As the population gets older, bet the rent, nasty cold weather states, and states with brutal heat and humidity, will become less and less desireable.

That's a nice house, as long as it isn't in a wildfire zone. I like Orange and San Diego Counties, and would probably be living down there if my job weren't keeping me up here in Kerryland by the Bay. ;)

Yeah, CA has nice weather. BUT NOT THAT NICE! I live in a modest 88,000 cape cod with 3 br 1 ba 1200 square feet. There's no way in hell I'd pay $450k for the same house just so I don't have to wear a coat in winter. A modest increase in price is one thing but that's ridiculous.

Southern CA along the ocean has the best weather in the country. Long Beach and San Diego are very mild cities to live in. We are comfortable virtually every day of the year. Rarely is a day above the high 80s, and even then, by 4 pm the ocean breezes blow in. Most summer evenings require a sweater.

Rarely is it ever under 60 in the winter, bar some chilly nights. You do not need to own a coat. The marine layer (cloud coverage) coats the coastal areas and prevents frost.

There might be a total of 8 rainy days a year.

We are spoiled.
