"I did call her the Aunt Jemima of the administration because I think not only have they used her race as a trophy, but I think her price of admission to the White House has been complete obedience to the white power structure in the White House," Sylvester said.

I guess he was fine with the blacks in X42's HW staff. What was that lady's name????

Oh, that's right, there weren' any.

"People know who I am. I don't need to get attention."

I don't, but you sound like a racist.

"Hostility" is defined as overt acts of warfare, as referenced in Websters.

I would hardly think the Bush Administrations policies regarding minorities share any resemblance of the word.

For a guy who's enlightened, he's sure a pretty poor wordsmith. Unless of course he's selling something to a group of people if he says it long enough.

If he's not a racist, why does he sound exactly like one?

I guess we'll just have to trust him on this one.

Several years ago, Doug Tracht, a/k/a The Greaseman, was booted off the air in Washington, D.C. and his career ruined after he made a stupid comment about Lauryn Hill's music being the reason for blacks being dragged behind trucks - a comment for which he immediately apologized on the air and repeatedly afterward. The outcry was deafening and he was fired anyway. This kind of comment is no different, yet this a-hole refuses to apologize!!

The Urban League said it was deeply disturbed. "Such slurs based on racial and ethnic stereotypes have no place in the 21st century," said its statement. "We call upon WTDY and John Sylvester to apologize for using the basest form of racial derision to highlight a political viewpoint."

Good for the Urban League! How about the NAACP, SCLC, Rainbow Coalition, Jackson, Sharpton? Are you there? I'm waiting...

>>I was aiming that directly at a black person that is letting himself (and herself) be used by an administration that has been _extremely hostile to minorities_," he said.

Give some examples. Oh, and give some examples of high ranking black people in the Clinton administration while you're at it.

"I don't think being subservient to white people and not blowing the whistle on their misdoings is a good role model at all."

I agree.

Wait... we are talking about just about the majority of the black voting populace and Bill Clinton, right?

The Dems are marginalizing themselves with these types of comments. Bush more than doubled his votes from the black community in this election, from 8% in 2000 to 17% in 2004. He tripled his votes from black Christians (36%).

As Star Parker states in her column on Town Hall:

Black pastors and their congregants are waking up to the fact that the liberal agenda that they have been supporting all these years does not liberate but denigrates, dehumanizes, and enslaves. They are beginning to see the liberal agenda, the welfare state agenda, as a moral problem, undermining the dignity and responsibility that makes men and women free.

Town Hall

A good article about this problem can be found at The Rant. (Warning: graphic use of the "n" word involved)

Only a real idiot would make a remark like this. No matter what your job is you better show some loyalty to your boss and the company especially when you hold one of the highest offices in what is the highest office in the world.

Somebody please start slapping this incompetent moron and dont stop untill you have knocked some common sense into him. Come to think of it, it is too late.

"I was aiming that directly at a black person that is letting himself (and herself) be used by an administration that has been extremely hostile to minorities,"

Bush has:

1) appointed more African Americans to high-profile posts

2) committed more funds to fight AIDS in Africa

3) championed minority homeownership (which is the highest of all time)

4) supported more trade and aid for African and Caribbean nations than any other administration.

5) done more for the African-American community through his education policies alone than any previous president, including Clinton.

6) lowered taxes for the poorest taxpayers by 33 %.

7) supported faith based programs which help black communities.

And this is hostile? Give me a break!

Hey Mr. Sylvester, dare to compare resumes with Dr. Rice? I guess not, since that would make you look even more foolish than you already have.

this bozo has been a pain in madison for almost the entire time he's been on the air as a talk show person. at first, he was a conservative, but then he succumbed to the pressure of being 'cool' or 'chic' to the college crowd here.
