"These votes are reportedly from Republican leaning counties, the large counties, being more urban, tend to lean Democrat.."

Also could be stated: These votes are reportedly from Republican leaning counties, the large counties, being more entitlement-minded, tend to lean Democrat..

Still looks like Kerry is doing about 5% better with the provisionals than on election night. That is WAY short of what is needed to narrow the gap in any significant way.

haha. yah.

Dems (and shuster and olbermann) swore that the provisionals would be 90% in favor of Kerry... I don't even care if the total of the provisionals ends up 60-40 for Kerry... That will still be far short of what he needs...

Translated for Red Staters.

"Don't know their @ss from a gun barrel."

The remaining provisionals can go 100 percent for Kerry & it won't be enough.

When the big counties report, the net margin change will be nil. Two thousand votes tops. Might be in Bush's favor.

The election is over! There is NO "possible" threat to another 4 year term for W! SO FAR SO GOOD!? Geez! Some of you guys just live to wring your hands and worry.

Agree completely. This is the same crowd that kept on saying right up to election day that Hillary was going to replace Kerry as the nominee. The election is over and Bush won. The Dems can't steal Ohio not only because the numbers just don't work, but also, because the GOP controls the state house and state legislature. I can't believe that people are buying into the conspiracy theory of a few nuts on the left. My advice: Relax and enjoy the victory and ignore this crap. Kerry delayed his concession speech to prevent the GOP from enjoying the victory on election night. His folks are now trying to do the same thing with these bogus recount claims.

And the election board of the largest Democratic-leaning county, Cuyahoga, has invalidated one-third of their provisional ballots: 8,099 Cuyahoga ballots ruled invalid. The valided ballots from Cuyahoga remain to be counted. I think Bush will end up with a net gain after the provisional and absentee ballots are all counted.

They're coming from this leftist blogsite: ohvotesuppression. In spite of the source, the information appears to be the most accurate and up-to-date consolidation of data on how the provisional vote count is going in Ohio county by county. Bush's increasing margin of victory must really be making these bloggers "see red" (pun intended).

Isn't Cuyahoga Kerry's best county? I read there were fewer than 25,000 PB's there, and now that 1/3 of them are invalid we are talking only about 17K. Even if Kerry got 100% of them, and we know that won't happen, it still would not help him all that much. If the Cuyahoga provisionals break the way the regular vote did, then GWB will get perhaps a third of them.

The figures sound great but it's just curious that
no provisional info is coming from official channels and
I have seen nary a whine on DU about these figures or anywhere else for that matter.

55/88 counties 23,086 Bush 17294 Kerry! http://www.ohvotesuppression.blogspot.com
Is not including Ashland,Butler and Delaware county totals which combine for 4381 bush and 2816 Kerry.

http://www.ashlandboe.com/results.cfm
http://www.butlercountyelections.org/LiveResults/data/results.txt
Also as a former resident of Mahoning county I am very glad to see they have reported and Kerry has only gained 815 more than Bush, they are the 2nd largest Kerry % county of the 6 majors, and in the past many corrupt local officials.(many now in Jail still)
