Egads, I just checked on DU, because they are "all over" this story and I figured I could get the most up to date info.

It is NOT pretty there folks. I thought the tin-foilage and hatred was pretty bad here on FR during Clinton, but it is far, FAR worse over there. Delusional people, it is almost scary. I _almost_ feel sorry for them. Over the last few election cycles, however, something has become apparent to me. Liberals are the ones who "dont get out much". That is, they tend not too stray too far from their ideological circles. Conservatives are FORCED to, because the majority of the MSM leans Democrat/Liberal. Therefore, we are better prepared when things don't go our way. The liberals, however, are NOT. These things SMACK THEM IN THE FACE, when it doesn't go their way. I am afraid there will be wrist slitting at DU when Kerry is not inaugurated this coming January..

A real funny one from DU today:

"Never forget this -- that bastard, that insidious fool, works for us, and I don't know about the rest of you, but I refuse to sit idly by and watch my country stolen out from under me. Can't you see that this is not about simply overturning an election? We are fighting for the very SOUL of our country. These nefarious ghouls must be stopped at any and all costs, and no matter what there numbers may be, we must remember that WE THE PEOPLE have far greater numbers. And there is strength in numbers -- they cannot summon enough jack boots to put down the furious rage of a people fighting for truth. We must march. We must trumpet the truth, speak the truth, and throw it in the face of the corporate media, the right wing fools, and this corrupt visceral Bush administration."

Man, this sounds like rhetoric straight from the CPUSA.

I freely admit that I am one who is worried. And in particular I am worried about a state wide recount if it occurs.

The first Presidential election that I remember was 1960 Kennedey/Nixon. I remember my foks screaming at the television that Daley and the Chicago Mob had stolen the election for the dims.

A recount where the number of votes needed to steal the election by the dims is known, just scares me. For I truly believe that nothing is beneath the dims.

If Bush is over 100000 vote lead at the end of the provisionals, there will be no recount, write it down

What gets me is this back door apprach by hanoi john's camp. I mean, everyone knows that the Greens and the Liberdopians are doing this for hanoi john.

If the Liberdopians and Greens were really concerned that the will of the people be heard, they would be in Wisconsin screaming their heads off that the election was stolen. The dims like to cite the exit polls, well then, how about the fact that hanoi john won Wisconsin with fewer than 12,000 votes, even though W. had led Wisconsin in the majority of the polls leading up to the election.

All Greek to the seriously math challenged (me).I do know that 44 of 88 is 50%

I'm waiting to see if the phrase "imperialist running dogs" is next.

How these DUers can get their hopes up on a fantasy they created and then allow them to be disappointed twice is so crazy...they must be masochists.

Your apprehension is unfounded. Ohio 2004 is not Illinois 1960. The Daley machine did steal the state for Kennedy and they continue to operate the same fraud machine today. However, the GOP controls the state levers of power in Ohio and the vote has already been tallied except for the provisional votes, which are not sufficient to change the election results. We are talking about a margin of 136,000 votes, which is impossible for Kerry to overcome. His people know it, which is why he conceded. Stop worrying, be happy.

Note: only 57 of 88 counties have reported.

Current % of provisionals being counted: 82%

Current "additional" vote count:
Bush +26,752
Kerry +22,062

bush winning 54.8% of provisionals so far out of 48,812 votes. Approx 88,000 provisional votes left.

Do we know which counties have already reported?

“Go Bucks and Bush” you have been doing a great job in listing of all the counties that have reported so far and I think your latest list of counties was around 40 or so. Do you have the remaining 18 or 20 counties that had already reported. Thank you.

In fact it is more like 78,000 votes are left since if we consider that 82% of the 155,000 are to be counted, this will leave us with 127,100 votes that are valid to count.

Substurct 48,812 votes from 127,100 and the remaining valid provisional ballots to be counted is approximately 78,286.
