[history]
In a season typified by lawsuits against manger scenes, crosses and even the words "Merry Christmas," a California case is taking the "separation of church and state" one step further

"Throwing aside all common sense, the district has chosen to censor men such as George Washington and documents like the Declaration of Independence," said ADF Senior Counsel Gary McCaleb. "The district's actions conflict with American beliefs and are completely unconstitutional." The parents in California need to take back their schools.

Here's an idea - have Marxism declared a religion and forbid any teaching of its ideas in public schools. That should shut these devils up.
To: Popman
You mean they actually let the kids off to celebrate the subjugation of Native Americans by those religious fanatics from England??? I'm stuned!!!

I'm with you. This BS has got to end one way or another. This nation is being destroyed from within and it seems that most people don't care and just accept it.

Check out thier December calendar! They have two key holidays denoted in large type at the top of the page-Channukah and Kwanzaa-but Christmas appears in tiny type on December 25. You have to scroll down to see it.
I suppose we should be happy it appears there at all.

In defense of the school, they do show the other holidays in bold up top to show it covers several days rather than one day as
Christmas: Christian on the 25th.
December 2004
Dec. 9th-16th: Hannukah (Festival of Lights) - Jewish
Dec. 26 - Jan 1: Kwanza - African American
I find it amazing, well not that amazing, that Kwanza is considered a religious holiday. It's got nothing to do with a "religion"

What will the freaks think of next? Let's burn the constitution, DofI, and we might as well burn books and computers while we're at it. Don't want any learnin' goin' on.
To: WestVirginiaRebel
It would seem that the Declaration of Independence would be "grandfathered" out of contention, since it was already in force prior to the Constitution.
Another point in my view is that the libs and their cronies seem to forget - if indeed they ever knew - that the phrase upon which they base their weirdness says "... for or against the free excercise thereof."

Used to think the same thing, but look at the election map. It ain't all Californians, just the inhabitants of the PRK: LA, SF and a few other cesspools.

I do see what a great society America is (was) because our society is (was) largely based on Christian morals. Our kids and grandkids are going to grow up knowing only the filtered, edited and pc version of our history and that will destroy this great nation.
That, and the lack of Christian morals.
So what you're saying is, as an atheist you have to share responsibility for America's decline.

If you're courts chuck out the Declaration of Independence, I'm sure that the Queen will be happy to welcome you back into our happy Imperial family.
That said, I'd much rather off-load the blue-states to Canada...

I am saying we all share the responsibility. We need to teach our children history as it was. Even though I do not believe in God, I know that this great nation was built with a belief in God. It is wrong to not teach our children that their country is great because it was built on a belief in God and with good christian morals.

The American Communist and Leftest Union is unconstitutional in that it is restricting First amendment rights.
