Most voters probably just voted yes to all amendments because they probably couldn't interpret them.

For the most part all of them passed by overwhelming majority.

Most voters here in Florida were swayed by TV and print ads prior to the election. Near the west coast of Florida a certain hospital had a record of amputating or operating on the wrong limb or other part of the body. These events got lots of press and rightly so. Still, I believe those cases are rare.

In the era of patients wanting things done now and expecting all procedures to turn out "perfectly", doctors are expected to perform above the average person while making decisions flawlessly. However, they are human and make mistakes, as we all do. So, lets all punish them for not being and performing like Almighty God!

True bad doctors should not be allowed to continue to practice medicine, but there has to be a balance. Cutting off one's arm to remove a wart growing on your finger is not going to solve the malpractice problem.

In the end, our health costs will go up, as this amendment will chase more good hard working doctors out of Florida; it will not make them perfect.
