Even if you are right about the Genesis story, try meditating on the difference between being a liar and being honestly mistaken.

If you stand at a lighted intersection with your back to the light while it is red and say it is green, you're a liar. You have access to the truth and instead state the opposite of the truth for your own purposes in spite of the truth. Color it how you will, it's still a lie. When you further defend it, you dig yourself in further. I merely put a label to it and identified it. And that is not being abusive, it is being honest and corrective of the record. You can try to spin it any way you want in the end and you are doing just that. That don't work with me. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt by correcting you and seeing where you go. When you're corrected and persist in the error, that's not being mistaken - that's being prideful and rebellious. And that is your problem to deal with. I sympathize and understand the mindset. That doesn't excuse it. And the excuse isn't for anyone here including myself - it's for you. Because everyone else here has been presented the truth in quotes as to what precisely the scriptures say on the subject. The position of Evolution is diametrically opposed to scripture and is unreconcileable with scripture. I know better and now everyone else does to. At the point you begin denying it after you're presented the truth, you're lying to yourself and anyone else that doesn't know better. And for those that you lead astray, you will answer for. Some of you think this is one big game and that your particular feelings are more important than the truth. Guess what, Manson was upset when he was called a murderer and locked up for it. It's still the truth and I don't care what manson feels one way or the other. Your feelings are immaterial to the truth just as his are. If the truth hurts, it doesn't make it less the truth. You think the solution is to mute the truth. I know the solution is for you to get in line with it so you don't have to "feel" damaged by it being spoken. If you're on the side of the truth, you can't be damaged and emotionally ruined by being informed that you are factually wrong. And while you're being defensive as though you own the fact - the fact didn't rely on how you felt about it in becoming so any more than it will rely on how you fell about it remaining so. If you want to live your life being offended by the truth, keep propping up falsehoods and you will have your wish. If you don't, change sides and adopt the truth.. then you might discover the moral ground to be upset at lies - especially the ones that damage you every day - and maybe enough to actually do something about them like me or perhaps even better than me. This isn't a pyramid scheme as it happens, you can know and be more than the next guy and be outdone by yet another. I don't exclusively own the path I'm trying to follow. Nor do you.

In the Bible, there are clear directives as to the Christian walk and manner of dealing with others. If, in your pursuit of exposing evil and taking it to the "woodshed," you cease to bear the fruits of the Spirit... Think about it.

I'll stop there and answer your next post in a moment.

Yes there are; but, as with anyone wanting to dissemble about having been corrected, there are certain things you want to allude to while ignoring the rest. I'm aware of both. The fruits of the spirit are not feelings, btw, they are states of being. Your mother still loves you when she knocks your block off for getting arrested for under-age drinking. Love is a state of being - not a feeling. And anger does not negate love, nor does correction. And yes, I'm aware that this is the fallacy you are trying to errect in your defense. You are still licking your ego.

And again, All of your words Beg the Question... Is Havoc the arbiter of Truth? If you are not, they are mere opinion.

I don't want to fuss with you. You tripped my trigger last night, and I didn't hold my tongue. It's a sensitive issue with me.

You think I am a liar with an evil agenda. I think you have issues and are sadly mistaken in your beliefs and methods of dealing with others.

The only thing I know for sure is my own heart. I love what is good and true. Beyond that, I am just a seeker.

I do wish you well.

The Bible does not explain about DNA or RNA or blood type or genetics, yet they all exist. Evolution is not excluded from the Bible any more than those things are, but there are people in the education system that will do what ever they can to remove god from it.

I'm sorry Havoc, but I don't feel in the slightest bit corrected by you. I know you are completely mistaken in your judgements of me.

I gotta go to bed. : ) I'm sure we agree on other things.
Take care.

Is Havoc the arbiter of Truth? If you are not, they are mere opinion.

Au contraire, that is not the question or the issue. The question and issue is whether scripture is the arbiter of truth as it was delivered to Moses in this case. The case in scripture is clear and incompatible with evolution. Ignore evolution altogether - scripture says man was made from the dust of the earth and AFTER animals were already created. Man cannot be at the same time made from dust and animals which in no way can be equated with dust unless they first die and become dust again, at which point you are dealing with dust and not an animal or anything that could be mistaken for an animal. There is no amount of linquistic acrobatics that can take the word meaning Dust and make it mean Monkey, Ape, etc. None. Therefore it isn't a matter of whether I repeat what the Bible says or not - whether I say it or not. The Bible says it and in plain language. Your argument is therefore not with me. It is with the Bible - specifically with Genesis which is a product of collusion between God and Moses. Your argument is there. In essence, the King wrote a message and handed it to Moses who handed it on down the line till it reached us. And because I point it out, you attempt to act as though I wrote it and just misheard God. It's a defense mechanism usually employed under the mistaken notion that it somehow absolves you from the truth. The problem is you have access to it and are responsible for and to it. My responsiblility extends only to correcting you and having pointed it out. If you continue to mistate the record, understand, you then fall into the category of a false teacher. And that isn't my decision either, that's also in scripture as well as specific warnings in that regard. So, I'd caution you for your own sake. God isn't a sole proprietorship belonging just to me or anyone else. If you are a Christian, you are supposed to know how to approach him and confirm His word or at the very least acknowledge it. If you can't one wonders what you are doing in this conversation; but, that's between you and God.

BTW, I wish you well too. And no, I don't *think* you are a liar with an evil agenda. When you misrepresent what scripture says whether for an agenda or otherwise, the agenda is immaterial, you're already a liar by your own doing whether you intend to be or not. That isn't a matter of my belief, that is a matter of applying applicable and appropriate language to a happenstance. It requires no feeling either of love or hatred to apply appropriate verbage to a happenstance. Nor is there any ill will in the proper labeling with language. The only intent is to put a stop to the activity. If you want to discuss evolution theory that's one thing. If you want to prop it up by lying about what scripture says, then I will deal with you. Not because I have anything against you; but, because I have an obligation to the truth. If I fail to defend the truth or make it known when it is challenged, I'm as guilty as the person lying. It's called a sin of omission. Not doing the right thing when you know to do so is just as much a sin as doing the wrong thing. Something else you seem unaware of.

As for being a seeker, let me say this. There are two schools in science - one that starts from it's conclusions and seeks what they can find to defend the conclusions and one that starts with the evidence and attempts to derive a conclusion from the evidence. One is correct, the other is wrong. Yet they are both seekers. In the US justice system, you have two types of prosecutors - one who follows the evidence to a conclusion seeking justice and one who concludes on prejudice who he thinks is guilty and seeks evidence to secure a conviction. Only one of these is proper. Yet both are seekers. Seeking is nothing in and of itself. What you seek and for what motives is the concern. If two men seek relationships and one marrys a wife while the other ends up with a homosexual, both were seekers. You should consider heavily what you are seeking and why. That is an offer of wisdom, not a rebuke.

Exactly, and that is all I was trying to say in my article.
