Um, let me understand this. They want to ostracize and exclude some people in order to be "inclusive" and "not offend" anyone. Right. Makes perfect sense.

Right, the celebration of the birth of Frosty the Snowman in the Gingerbread House.
No more conventions or federal aid for Denver--violation of civil liberties. Let the litigation begin.

Jim Basey, president of the partnership, said it stands by its policy of not allowing religious or political messages in the parade ... But this year, well, rules are rules. "We have no objections to Pastor (George) Morrison's plan to walk along the parade crowd, pass hot chocolate and sing Christmas carols," the statement said. Golly Jim. What a mensch you are.
Color me majorly surprised that Basey didn't direct the Denver police to administer a wood shampoo to the carolers then have them arrested. Surely, ALL of the carolers couldn't have had the proper health department permit to dispense hot chocolate in a public place.
(sarcasm OFF)

The transformation of Christmas to holiday and the attendant impoverishment of our culture was brought about to accommodate not the small minority of Americans who do not celebrate Christmas but the far smaller minoritycomprising those of all faiths and of nonewho resent the overwhelming majority who do celebrate Christmas. Hanukkah is traditionally a minor holiday (with no basis in the canonical Hebrew Bible) and Kwanza is a completely made-up event. This brings into sharper perspective just who is celebrating Christmas.....and "the other" who is not. This small and insignificant minority enjoy their status through the generosity and forebearance of Christians, and because America is a Christian country. Americans heartily endorse Christian values as Nov 2, 2004 demonstrated. Those who chose to ignore that fact are in for a rude awakening.(MAP UPDATE: Bush won Ohio and New Mexico later.)

This is probably a dumb question.......but is the mayor of Denver a dem?
I suggest all you Denverites un-elect him as soon as possible. And don't let the city of Denver forget how he stuck his foot in his mouth with his stupid "Holiday" tree, etc. etc. etc.
Throw him out!

If he won't listen to us, maybe he'll listen to one of his own -- FDR (01/06/41):
In the future days which we seek to make secure, we look forward to a world founded upon four essential human freedoms.
The first is freedom of speech and expression -- everywhere in the world.
The second is freedom of every person to worship God in his own way -- everywhere in the world.
The third is freedom from want, which, translated into world terms, means economic understandings which will secure to every nation a healthy peacetime life for its inhabitants -- everywhere in the world.
The fourth is freedom from fear, which, translated into world terms, means a world-wide reduction of armaments to such a point and in such a thorough fashion that no nation will be in a position to commit an act of physical aggression against any neighbor -- anywhere in the world.

So the 56-year-old Englewood man joined hundreds of Christmas carolers from metro-area churches and sang along the Parade of Lights route. They sang on 15th Street. They sang at Court Place. And they sang at Colfax Avenue and Bannock Street. WOHOO!!
SING IT LOUD ... SING IT PROUD !!
Merry CHRISTmas ! ! !

Christmas is a fun occasion, like other such events. But no matter how hard one shouts the first syllable of the word "Christmas" it wont help one iota in making the carpenter from Nazareth re-appear, because...Sorry kids, he ain't returning ever !

Interesting chart
Mark Levin's Landmark Legal Foundation should sue the cities, counties, states, federal agencies, bureaucrats, Mayors, that ban Christian activities, parades, speech, by legislation or executive order or rules ad regulations
Denver Mayor Hickenlooper(splg? who cares!) bans Christians, Christmas, Christina church members, and Christmas carols in their parades yet officially endorses and presides over an outside Hanuka candle lighting ceremony in Denver that celebrates his own personal religion.
Islam celebrated, gets government recognition not afforded to Good Friday, Muslims get religious days closed as official religious holidays per government order, public school students forced to study Islam in California and federal judges OK that(?), Christmas banned.
Justice Ginsberg what is your opinion?
Why are two enemy ethnic groups in America joining hands to vote over 85% each against Republicans and most Christians and banning Christmas and Easter in a generous nation in which they are small minorities?
This is the small minority and the ACLU and the federal courts in your pocket stealing your tax dollars and killing your religious rights in the USA.
Defund the government and avoid any who ban or censor Christmas or any Christian holiday or activity.
Not one cent in their businesses, not one cent in taxes to any govenment agency that discriminates against Christians.
Things are about to pop mega bigtime in America.
