It seems our friend Kwasi has a history of being anti-open source software. A year ago he predicted that:

"In 2 years time Linux will be reeling from sustained, massive multipronged attacks ".

Rather than continuing what appears to be a pointless conversation, you might all enjoy an article from December, 2003 (Seattle Post-Intelligencer) where a certain Kwasi Owusu was destroyed by about (28) posters responding to another one of his juvenile "Microsoft Rulz" posts.

The consensus of the posters was that Kwasi was smoking some psychotropic tobacco. Perhaps he has just been drinking too much of the Redmond Kool-Aid.

He starts his commentary with:

"So! Old Eric keeps spewing out his loony left Stalinist propaganda, disinformation, half-truths, outright lies an dirty tricks as usual huh?
Nothing new there."

Seems that the statement that "Eric" referred to was a paraphrase of Steve Balmer's direct quotes. Kawasi's comments seem a little passionate, huh?

The (28) people that responded to his rant provided ample documentation, quotes, citations. et al to refute his lame assertions. Clearly he has some "problem" with open-source software, in general. Various posters assumed that he worked for Microsoft, based upon his statement:

"Then there is the little matter of a handsome $51 Billion in cash at the bank! We have a war chest that can wage a very long sustained war and WIN IT, and WE WILL !

He seems to be rehashing the same argument with a new crowd. Perhaps it is some annual "Kwasi ritual", so I won't bother rehashing the same old MS-BS any further here.

Kwasi Getting Sliced and Diced Last December .

Score: Posters 28 - Kwasi 0

"It seems our friend Kwasi has a history of being anti-open source software"

Open sourece software? What is that?
Oh you mean the garbage software.
Naah. Don't have any use for it.

# 1, where I come from(Ghana) Kwasi Owusu is very common name.
I'd say there are at least 500,000 Owusus out there and every male child born on a Sunday is called Kwasi. Its like John Smith in England, there are hundreds of thousands of them. As usual you didn't bother to do any research before opening your mouth, just like in your previous post. :) So sorry. :)

# 2, the following points from that poster are even more valid today than a year ago.
"In spite of all the Linux hype, Microsoft continues to INCREASE their market share in BOTH the desktop and servers, going up to an all time high of 55% in servers for 2002 according to IDC BR> Microsoft doesn't sound much to me like a company in trouble here do they?"

If anything Microsoft is even stronger financially today than they were last year.

Another excerpt: " We haven't even talked about Microsoft's RECORD sales and profits in the last quarter and the expected RECORD sales and profits in the current quarter in which Microsoft will achieve sales of $8 billion in one quarter for the first time in Microsoft history.
Then there is the little matter of a handsome $51 Billion in cash at the bank!"

Even more valid today than ever.
Until Microsoft paid out that huge dividend on Dec 2 (I got a very nice check for $6000) :)), Micrsooft's cash pile was even bigger than then at $60 Billion. Plus of course Microsoft is now making quarterly sales of $10 Billion, expect that to go over $10 Billion when this quarter's figures are released in January.

# 3, what has that got to do with the fact that I just clobbered you so far on every single point that you brought up? and continue to do so even as we speak?

You are losing on this thread so you go and drag up some rubbish from somewhere to shore up your fast failing defences? Typical. What else can you expect from weaselly loony left crazies?
Sounds to me like you are getting pretty desperate. :)
