Persistence, not intelligence, is the danger here. Moore seems to feel that if he adopts the strategy of German "national" socialists he can influence a hard core of radical followers that inanely repeat his diatribes. His movies have been completely discredited, his books are a waste of ink yet he persists. Why, because he is the only visible speaker for socialist (the "NAACP" would say Progressive) ideas currently on the market. He will eventually be overshadowed and that's the real fear. If this big, fat, stupid white man can speak to and for millions what's going to happen when a charismatic socialist in moderate clothing comes to the fore?
We may be laughing now but look over the horizon. There WILL be someone with ability that will come along and pick up the fallen socialist banner. (It is not Hillary. She's a joke and could never mobilize a national following of the majority.) Watch out for the smooth talking Hispanic with the Caucasian wife.

Not to spoil a good Moore-bash, but - you do have a source for this? I've never heard of any religious fatwah about the earth being flat. There are illustrated psalters from the 9th century showing a round earth in the hand of God. What can you mean?

Interesting. Does he not see that some of these numbers overlap? There are no MoveON members who went to the Vote for Change concert and saw F911 who belong to a union and get his drivel in their Email?

Does he think that people who went to the concerts voted for Kerry simply because they went to the concerts? Some people just went to see The Boss and could give a rip about the Dems or politics in general.

Why does he seem to think that everyone who saw F911 voted for Kerry? His Jedi mind tricks are not that powerful. Some thought Columbine and Roger and me were funny and went looking for that kind of "entertainment" in F911. Some people went just to see what all of the controversy was about. Even some hard left Dems said it was nothing but hyperbole on film. Did all F911 voters vote dem? Something tells me no.

And what on Earth makes him think that all union members voted for Kerry? Because their union bosses give heavily to the DNC and tell their members to vote Dem?

It is also interesting to note that he claims that Kerry is the most liberal member of the Senate, yet Kerry didn't run his campaign this way. Is Moore so blind to see that most of Kerry's energies went into trying to trick the electorate into thinking that he was a "moderate"?

Cripes almighty, how did a man whose thoughts as deep as a thimble become so stinking rich? The old saying that someone doesn't see the forest despite the trees hardly captures this man's mindset. He doesn't see the storm despite the rain and lightning. He is the worst kind of fool.

Media Schadenfreude and Media Shenanigans PING

Watch Dan Rather apologize for not getting his facts straight, humiliated before the eyes of America, voluntarily undermining his credibility and career of over thirty years. Observe Donna Brazille squirm as she is ridiculed by Bay Buchanan, and pronounced irrelevant and nearly non-existent. Listen as Donna and Nancy Pelosi and Senator Charles Schumer take to the airwaves saying that they have to go back to the drawing board and learn from their mistakes and try to be better, more likable, more appealing, have a stronger message, speak to morality. Watch them awkwardly quote the bible, trying to speak the ‘new’ language of America. Surf the blogs, and read the comments of dismayed, discombobulated, confused individuals trying to figure out what they did wrong. Hear the cacophony of voices, crying out, "Why did they beat me?"

And then ask anyone who has ever worked in a domestic violence shelter if they have heard this before.

They will tell you: Every single day.

The answer is quite simple. They beat us because they are abusers. We can call it hate. We can call it fear. We can say it is unfair. But we are looped into the cycle of violence, and we need to start calling the dominating side what they are: abusive. And we need to recognize that we are the victims of verbal, mental, and even, in the case of Iraq, physical violence.

Dan Rather (and Tom Brokaw) is only sorry that he got caught. He pushed the memos and attacked his critics for a week and so did AP. He could have set them aside when they were called into question.

Even when the documents' legitimacy was cast out, the left STILL said that we needed to consider the content of the argument that they supported even if the documents themselves were frauds.

B.S. We aren't going to take it any more and will not be badgered by the MSM. Dan Rather was not a victim in this and I will not let Herr Mikey Goebbels Moore cast him as such.
