Hate to burst your bubble, but immigration is a Federal responsibility. California, and recently Arizona, have passed initiatives to deal with this problem, only to be shot down by liberal judges. I, being a native Californian of 54 years have the right to "whine" after seeing much of the California dream turned into a nightmare

What I'm trying to say is gangs are on the LAPD's radar, but still not given the attention it deserves.

They probably are afraid to, given whats happened to them in the last decade - Ramparts, Rodney King, etc. Alot of it they brought on themselves, but people need to be aware of what happens when a police department is eviscerated like LAPD has been.

The same thing is happening that has always happened. Neighborhoods turn bad, drop down the socio-economic scale and the people who live there become enraged. Immigrants (illegal and otherwise) arrive and start shooting up the streets. It's been happening for 150 years.

Which implies either stupidity, or that there are areas that are off-limits to shootings, and car-jackings, and shake-downs and the rest. They take the wife and kids to the local restaurant, but it's protected. They go to the big parking lot at the big box store - protected.

But the logic of gangsterism is that there is no paradise for the gangster.

And who do the Dem have to blame for this? LA county is more Dem than anywhere other than Chicago, according to the 2004 Presidential map. The spike shooting up out of LA was only dwarfed by Chitown, which shot somewhere up into outer space with all the dead voting 10 times, or however they managed that.

Guess it's all W's fault.

What's the answer? Don't ship 'em home. The Mexicans don't ship our people back, nor do other countries. But find a spot, maybe in central NV, maybe somewhere else - maybe in the high Rockies, I don't know. And send them all there. These aren't American citizens. Whatever international law applies - but that's it.
