The real problem is that the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 is an idiotic law that never should have been passed in the first place.

Clearly. 347 to 47 in the House, 93 to 5, President Clinton signs it, President Bush's party platform iin 2004 says The United States has a moral and legal obligation to maintain its Embassy and Ambassador in Jerusalem. Immediately upon taking office, the next Republican president will begin the process of moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel's capital, Jerusalem.

Just another dumb *ss law passed by an overwhelming majority in both parties over the objection of a handful who, of course, truely represent the will of the American people.

You're right. The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995 was such a compelling piece of legislation that the U.S. embassy was moved to Jerusalem by the middle of 1996. /sarcasm off/

I rest my case.

I bet we'll still be discussing this "moral imperative" in 2040, too.
