Other than Senator Frist, I'm hard pressed to name any other darn good Republicans in the top tier.

Do you know of any?

Its a little early now, there's about 2 governors, possibly 3 (not including Jeb) who will probably run in 2008, not to mention a few senators.

In 1996, most people hadn't even heard of John Kerry, in 1988, Clinton was the guy who gave a long speech about nothing and no one thought he would even be a viable canidate for the dem nominee one day.

4 years is a long time, Guys like Warner (from carolina, not virginia), Pawtanley, Owens, Rommey will be major players on the state along with the host of senators.

More likely then not, most Americans right now, aren't farmiliar with the person who will be the 2008 GOP nominee.

Thanks for the names. I agree, it will either be Jeb or a (presently) unknown. After what the base did for Bush in this election, they are not going to be ignored 2008 with a candidate like Guliani or McCain.
